Kyle + Tasha // engaged

Tasha and Kyle originally met at Airport High School. He played baseball, and she would go to his games. She liked him, secretly. And he, secretly, liked her. But it wasn’t until years later when they ran into each other at a New Year’s Eve party. They started talking… and the rest, is history.

Cassie // senior

Cassie is a senior at Rogers City High School. She’s the second oldest of six girls, a farm girl, a talented athlete. Her personality is radiant… she truly is beautiful, inside and out. I so enjoyed her senior session and getting to know her a bit more.

Steffen + Emily // wedding


I can’t help but rave about how beautiful Emily and Steffen’s wedding was. The couple has known each other since they were in diapers, and their love is so special. Now living in Colorado, they drove back to Michigan to be married in the Steffen’s parent’s backyard. A grand garden of a backyard, mind you. Their intimate ceremony was witnessed by their closest friends and family, and the party ended with floating lanterns, inspired by the movie Tangled. I still get goosebumps thinking of how romantic it was.

Kaytlyn // senior

Kaytlyn is from St. Johns (my hometown) and a senior at St. Johns High School. I am so grateful that her family came all the way to Rogers City for her senior session. It was fun getting to use many of the beautiful Pure Michigan locations that Rogers City has to offer. 

Kaytlyn is an incredible young lady, and it was a true honor to photograph her! She was a natural in front of the camera. I love how these photos showcase her wonderfully unique fashion sense, her beautiful smile, and faith in Christ. I have no doubt that God truly does have great plans for her future.

Josh + Mary // wedding


It was love at first sight. Two freshmen at Concordia University Ann Arbor, the two quickly became one of my favorite couples on campus. They were such a joy to be around. Not even a year into their beautiful relationship, Josh proposed (he had me on-call to photograph their excitement just minutes afterwards). Exactly two years later, they became man and wife.

Josh and Mary’s morning wedding was at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, in Medina, Ohio, and their reception nearby, at Rustic Hills Country Club. The dancing ended in time for us to take a few extra photos and then send them on their way to a Cleveland Indians’ game (still dressed in their fancy wedding-day attire).

Just before the ceremony, Josh and Mary exchanged love letters and prayed together — without breaking tradition. It was a beautiful moment.

Their wedding day was a beautiful reflection of their personalities and love for each other, and also served as a wonderful reminder of Christ’s love for us all. Thank you for sharing your special day with me, Mary and Josh!
